Caden played soccer on a team for the first time this year! He had so much fun! The season started out with him and some of the other boys more interested in playing tackle in the middle of the field than in playing soccer but thankfully they did get better as the season went on. Because this Mama did NOT like having to pull him off the field in the middle of the game for a time out! He did very well for his first time. His age group was 3-5 year olds and some of the other teams had some pretty big 5 year olds. One time at the start of a game, he asked his coach "is this really a good idea?" :) When he was focused on playing, he did very well and was aggressive and not afraid to get in and kick the ball. He even made a few goals throughout the season! So proud of my big boy! #13 Go Rowdies!

Time for "school"
We had our first week (2 days) of school (aka Mother's Day Out). Caden has been ready to go back for the last 6 weeks and has been asking if it is fall yet so he can go back to school! I'm glad he likes going! This year I am teaching a 3 year old class right next to his 3 year old class so I can peek through the window whenever I want. :) Now if only we can get through this hitting my friends phase. :( His teacher had to bring him to me for a stern talking to on the first day because he was hitting too much. He did better on Thursday but still hit a couple times (oh and threw a big temper tantrum after I put him in timeout on the playground).
Noah has not had any problems adjusting to being at school instead of at home. He even went down easily for a nap! We just have to get him past the biting stage! :( Wish his 1 year molars would hurry up and come all the way in so hopefully the biting will decrease a little bit.
Not the perfect start to the school year, but just reminds me how imperfect we are and how important my job is as a mom to train up my children in Christ. The week overall was good, just seems like the behavior we are constantly working on with the boys, at school, at church, at home, at soccer, is very frustrating because it is not getting better as fast as I would like. ;P I guess I am supposed to be learning patience! ;)

Haircut
Noah finally got his first haircut! (btw this post is a few weeks
late!) Yes, I know it was past due but we wanted to wait until after we
had his first birthday pictures taken before we completely changed what
he looked like! He did good for the first half and sat still but then was over it so I had to hold him so she could finish! He is now a big boy!

A little dessert before bedtime... Daddy's special strawberry milkshake
This kid loves his sweets!
He is supposed to be sharing with Daddy!
Not wanting to give it up! :)

One
It is hard to believe that a year has already passed since Noah was born. At birth he weighed 10lbs 3oz and was 22 1/2in long. He is now 24lbs 14oz. (75%) and 32in (95%).
I love seeing his little personality forming. He is very determined and passionate. If he wants something, he wants it now. And if you tell him no, he gets mad, sticks out that bottom lip and cries.
He is loud. He always screams if he wants something and other times he will randomly just screech at the top of his lungs for no reason.
He loves to play tackle, roll on the floor and be tickled. Always wants to join in with Daddy and Caden.
He loves to eat. It seems like he is always hungry. He eats only table food now and drinks cows milk during the day. Still nursing before bed but not for much longer. He loves pizza, chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, fruit, rice and beans, and anything sweet (ice cream, cake, cookies). Not so crazy about his veggies but we are working on that. (He does better with them when they are mixed in something)
Noah is a light sleeper, much more so than his big brother. When he is asleep, I don't dare go into his room, not even to check on him. This has been hard for me to learn because I like to check on the boys before I go to bed at night. However, I have quickly learned not to go in his room or he will wake up.
Noah loves to play with balls. If he is after one of Caden's toys, I can usually distract him by having him look for or play with a ball.
Loves to pull his friend Caroline's bows out of her hair at church.
Noah consistently says Dada, Mama, bubba (for Buster, our dog), ball ball, book (without the k sound) and buh for everything else. He also has said a few different times pee (for please), Nana, and Papa
Noah likes to bite and it hurts! He has 8 teeth and may be getting more in because the biting has increased but he won't let me look in his mouth long enough for me to see. He puts EVERYTHING in his mouth to chew on.
He is still crawling, not quite ready to take those first steps. He will stand by himself by pulling up on something and then letting go and then usually claps for himself and wants you to say yay!
Usually sleeps from about 7:30 to 6:30 - 7 and then naps for 1.5-2 hours in the morning and then another hour or so in the afternoon.
LOVES to be chased!
