Getting Close

Got to see this sweet baby again through an ultrasound. Pretty soon we will get to meet him in person. :) Trying to wait patiently for that day! I didn't have a late pregnancy ultrasound with Caden so it was interesting to have one this time. The kicks are so much stronger now than they were at the 20 week ultrasound. Whenever I saw him kicking or moving an arm on the screen, I could feel it too! It was almost as if I could look inside my belly by being able to see and feel him at the same time. I had to have an ultrasound at 35 weeks because the Dr. thought he was getting big and wanted a better measurement. She was right! He is measuring in at 3 weeks and 3 days big weighing approximately 8lbs. 1oz. already! (The ultrasound tech said the weight could be +/- 3/4lb.) I am also 1-2 cm dilated. Going to the Dr. every week now so I guess she will keep a close watch to see how big he is getting.

Since we are getting so close to meeting baby Noah (as big brother calls him) we went to the park today to get a few pictures. Mommy and Caden ran around in the grass as Daddy played photographer. Here are a few of those pictures.

Frustrated

Getting really tired of changing sheets every day...

Dear Caden,

Please stop taking your clothes off and wetting the bed when you go down for a nap. It is not a fun game.

Sweet moment

I have tried to let Caden feel my belly when the baby is moving before but whenever I put his hand in the right place the baby stops kicking and Caden is not patient enough to wait for him to kick again. Yesterday the baby was moving and kicking quite a bit and Caden happen to look at me and he noticed my belly moving all around and the look on his face was priceless. He thought it was the funniest thing and immediately bent over my belly and started talking to the baby. He said, "Hi Noah! We waiting for you to come out" then gave my belly a few sweet kisses.

Clothes Optional??

I think I may have a streaker on my hands...

When Caden got up from his nap today, he came walking out of his room completely naked. Then as he was finishing eating dinner (I was still making mine) he started taking his clothes off again and took off running through the house. Hard not to laugh at him today but if it happens tomorrow, I will have to control myself...don't want this happening in public! :-) Oh the things kids do!

Handsome boy

Mama's "handsome boy" with his cheese smile

Caden magically becomes my handsome boy after he gets his hair brushed after his bath. If I call him that before he gets his hair brushed, he will tell me "not yet mama, no handsome boy yet". If daddy brushes his hair, then he will come running to find me saying "mama, I handsome boy!" and give me a big hug! Love my little handsome boy! Can't wait to have 2 handsome boys to hug!

Boys and Trucks

Bet you didn't know that a leaf vacuum truck could provide 10-15 minutes of free entertainment! To this 2 year old little boy it does! He heard a truck outside and went running to the window to see it. He stayed and watched the men work to vacuum up all of the leaves on one side of the road and when it went out of sight he went running around asking where it was, looking out all the windows. He was excited when it came back down the other side of the street. Wednesday mornings are usually an exciting day around here as well because that is when the garbage and recycling trucks come!

Family Visits

We had family from both sides come visit us for a total of about 10 days. First, my parents and grandmother came for a couple days and then Jimmy's mom, brother, sister, bro-in-law, niece and nephew came for a week. We had lots of fun and I am glad that we got to spend some time with family that we don't see on a regular basis. I was a little worried about how Caden would do with going potty with everyone around and being busy but he did great! Only one accident the whole time! Here are a few pictures from the visits.

Stayed in Gatlinburg for two nights with Jimmy's family in a three
